Udio disabled downloads. What to do with the songs you already have

In 2026 Udio switched off downloads on its plans while it works through licensing with the major labels. If you made songs there before that change and kept the files, they are still yours to finish. If you only have them inside Udio, this page will not help until downloads return.

First, find out what you actually have

Udio exports came as WAV or MP3 depending on your plan and the date. An MP3 at 128 kbps has already lost most of the top end. A WAV still has whatever the generator produced. Run a free analysis. It reports the sample rate, the cutoff frequency, and whether the file looks like a lossy source, which decides how much a repair can recover.

What Udio exports usually need

• A top-end rebuild above the cutoff, which on Udio files often sits a little lower than Suno's.
• A cut in the low mids. Udio's mixes lean warm, and the 250 to 400 Hz band is often 3 to 5 dB over a commercial reference.
• Width. The stereo image is usually narrow, and the bass is sometimes not centered.
• Loudness to a streaming target, with true peak under -1 dBTP.

Then release it the normal way

A finished Udio track goes through a distributor like any other. Disclose that it is AI where the form asks. Keep the original export as your master source, because you may not be able to make another one.
