Burnish is operated by Silk Creative Labs LLC, doing business as Burnish. This policy covers both the Burnish iPhone app and the Burnish website. The two work differently, so we describe each. The short version: the iPhone app does everything on your device and collects nothing, while the website processes the file you upload and keeps measurements rather than your audio. We never train on your music, and we never sell it.
The iPhone app
Everything happens on your device. Your audio is analyzed and mastered locally and is never uploaded. There are no accounts, no sign-in, and no tracking. We do not collect any data from the app: no analytics, no identifiers, no audio. This is why the app's App Store label reads Data Not Collected.
Purchases in the app are handled by Apple. The one-time unlock is a standard App Store in-app purchase, so your payment details go to Apple, not to us. Your device receives only the fact that a valid purchase exists, which the app checks locally to unlock unlimited mastering. There is no subscription.
The website
When you upload a track to burnishaudio.com we process it to analyze and master it. We do not use your audio to train any model, and we do not sell or share it. From an analysis we keep an anonymized set of measurements (things like the measured cutoff, loudness, and true peak) so we can improve the engine and track how AI generators change over time. We do not keep the audio samples themselves as part of that record.
The website has no accounts. We set one first-party cookie to remember your session so your work stays attached to your browser. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Website payments are handled by Gumroad, the merchant of record. Your card details go to Gumroad, not to us. We receive a license key and the fact of a valid purchase.
If you email us, or ask the website to send a report to you, we store the email address and the message so we can reply. We do not sell your email or add you to marketing without your consent, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
Service providers
The website uses Gumroad for payments and a cloud host to run the application. The iPhone app uses Apple for payments. These providers process data only as needed to deliver the service.
Data retention
The iPhone app collects nothing, so there is nothing to retain. On the website, uploaded files and rendered masters are kept only as long as needed to deliver your result and let you re-download an unlocked master. Anonymized measurements may be kept longer. You can ask us to delete your data.
Your choices
To access or delete any data tied to you, email support@burnishaudio.com and we will handle it.

We may update this policy. The date above shows the latest version.
